The
RYECO System II Edge
Crack Detection System
offers
a solution to the costly problems of undetected paper edge defects,
names hours of production downtime and lost profits. The Dual Edge System
II detects and marks edge defects on both edges, including foldovers
and non-separated edge cracks. Defects are marked with up to six colors.
Two
precise streams of air are directed toward opposite surfaces of the
web. As a non-separated crack passes through the sensor jaws, the defect
is deflected to form a small opening for the optics to penetrate. The
same air which deflects the crack closes it as it leaves the sensor.
Automatic Edge tracking, over-spray evacuation and modular design are
standard features of the system.
