Code marking is used to place footage marks along the web for automatic
unwind control. This system can also be used as a high-speed defect
marker.

code marker is generally interfaced to a web inspection system or to
the mill's quality control scanner. The code marks are read by automatic
unwind control systems allowing for accurate stopping regardless of
