Defect and Code Edge Marking System
RYECO's
third generation of marking systems include our new Deluxe
Defect and Code Marker.
The system is designed to provide both Defect Marks and
Code Marks on opposite surfaces of the same web.
Code
marking is used to place short encoded footage marks along the web for
Automatic Unwind Control. Code marks are on the top while defect marks
are on the bottom. A defect and code marker is generally interfaced
to a web inspection system or to the mill's quality control scanner.
Defects and off-spec paper are marked for removal during the unwind
process. The code marks aare ready by automatic unwind control systems
allowing for accurate stopping on footage regardless of slabbing or
reel slippage. The defect mark acts as a backup stopping system and
aids the operator in more precised defect locating.
